盤內畫三彩花果紋，用黃、綠、紫等「素三彩」畫石榴、桃子、佛手三果，還有綠葉，褐色樹枝。此器外壁繪茶花和牡丹，佈局疏朗。底足露胎細潔。
素三彩是康熙彩瓷中的特殊品種，因不用紅色，用彩方面沒有五彩那麼豐富，但工藝精細繁複，在宮廷用瓷中地位很高，得到了康熙皇帝的喜愛。
Depicted inside this dish are patterns of fruit in the three colors of yellow, green, and purple against a plain background. Also known as “plain tricolor,” they represent the pomegranate, peach, and buddha’s-hand citron along with their green leaves and brown bark. The exterior of the dish is decorated with camellia and peony designs arranged in a pleasing manner, while the biscuit revealed underneath appears fine and delicate.
“Plain tricolor” was a special product among porcelains of the Kangxi reign. Because red was not used, the coloring is less rich than “five-color” wares, but the craftsmanship is just as exquisite and complex. Ranking high among porcelains at the court, this type was greatly appreciated by the Kangxi Emperor.
