Also known as “plain tricolor,” they represent the pomegranate, peach, and buddha’s-hand citron along with their green leaves and brown bark. The exterior of the dish is decorated with camellia and peony designs arranged in a pleasing manner, while the biscuit revealed underneath appears fine and delicate. “Plain tricolor” was a special product among porcelains of the Kangxi reign. Because red was not used, the coloring is less rich than “five-color” wares, but the craftsmanship is just as exquisite and complex. Ranking high among porcelains at the court, this type was greatly appreciated by the Kangxi Emperor. 圖片
