Mid Warring States Period (c. 5th to 3rd century B.C.E.), Height: 12.4cm
The “dun” was a vessel used in ancient times for holding cooked broomcorn millet, proso millet, rice, and sorghum. This piece has two rings with a round body and base. The exterior of the body features a raised knob inlay pattern, and in the middle is a protruding ridge.
敦是古代用來盛黍、稷、稻、粱等的器具。此器有二個環耳，圓腹、圓底。器外壁以鑲嵌飾乳丁紋，腹部中央有一道凸棱。
「敦」は、キビやアワ、米、オオアワなどの穀物を入れた古代の器です。この敦には二つの環耳があり、腹も底も丸く。外側は乳丁紋で飾られ、腹の中央に突出した線が入っています。
