Chen made a special visit to Japan and attended the event alongside Taiwan's representative to Japan Ssu-tsun Shen and 390 Japanese friends and expatriate Taiwanese resident in Japan. The organizer prepared a birthday cake and laid on performances by the lion dance team of Tokyo Chinese School, an expert jabisen player, Taiwanese singing stars resident in Japan, creating a warm and bustling atmosphere.
