頗負盛名的「肉形石」是許多觀眾的必看文物，而它的的確確也是塊石頭，工匠利用了這塊石頭的「混然天成」之處，再「加工」後，就變成現在我們看到的模樣了，策展人說…
【肉形石】為碧石類礦物，紋理層層堆疊，藝匠就此天然特徵再予以加工。
首先於表面細密鑽點，除營造毛孔的效果外，還可使質地較為酥鬆，易於染色。
其次便是將頂層染成褐紅色，像是肉皮浸過醬油一般。讓明明是冷硬的石頭，卻令人聯想「東坡肉」鮮嫩多汁、入口即化的好滋味，真可以說是天人間最有默契，且又幽默的巧作。
Originally stored in the Yang-hsin Hall, the natural features of this mineral have been adapted and accentuated in the form of delicate carving and dyeing to create a sculpture that looks incredibly like a piece stewed pork. The artisans’ detail and sense of naturalism displayed here are amazing.
