林雪，字天素，閩(福建)中妓，後寄居西湖，能吟詩，工書善畫，活動於十七世紀。董其昌《容臺集》云：「聞閨秀之能畫者……初為林天素，繼為王友雲。天素秀絕，友雲澹宕，特饒骨韻。」
女性畫家較罕用複雜筆墨來圖寫山川，多數為平淡天真的小品。本幅作山水長卷，且功力俱足，誠屬難得。通幅表現水路相連的江南景致，房舍、舟楫點綴其間，筆姿秀逸，娟娟可愛。譽者曾將其與倪瓚、黃公望相比擬。本幅為蘭千山館寄存文物。
