溥儒(1896-1963)，字心畬，號西山逸士，河北宛平(今北京市)人，滿清宗室。民國成立後，一度隱居北京西山讀書，詩文、書畫造詣深厚。1949年渡海來臺，任教臺灣師範大學，作育英才，對藝壇影響頗為深遠。
此幅聯文：「竹泉洗研魚吞墨，松火烹茶鶴避煙。」描寫脫離塵俗的幽居生活和閒散安逸的心境。溥儒行書功力深厚，歷代經典名家之作，往往臨寫入神，從容變化之後，寫來瀟灑自然，秀逸挺勁。
