本院花鳥的相關收藏，質量俱精，本次展覽規劃「觀物之生」、「裝飾之美」、「構圖之趣」、「寓興之意」和「技藝之妙」五大單元，一方面從藝術家創作的觀念、畫面物象的布局配置，畫作的寓意與象徵意涵等角度，說明這些花鳥作品的特色與藝術成就；另一方面，又集結繪畫、緙繡、漆箋、古籍版畫等，以闡釋這些作品與繪畫的關係。讓觀眾賞覽之際，能對花鳥藝術的多元面向，有更進一步的認識。
