策展人的話：
楊峴(1819－1896)，字見山，號藐翁、遲鴻殘叟，歸安（今浙江省）人。咸豐五年舉人，官常州知府。工詩文，善書法，八分書可謂繼往開來。
《焦氏易林》為西漢焦延壽所作，體裁大抵四字一句，內容闡釋易學精華。此軸以漢隸節錄書之，適得其所。書法風格源自禮器碑，但用筆提按和用墨濕涸變化，以及結字之開闔舒展處皆能自創新境，氣勢懾人心神，獨樹一幟。
