水墨畫的技法大致可以分成「寫意」和「工筆」，寫意注重的是神韻的表現，
而工筆畫則講究畫面的細緻，大都先以墨勾勒線條，再填上美麗的顏色。 Different techniques of brushwork could be roughly divided into "freehand" or "realistic" style. Freehand brushwork focuses on capturing the spirit, while realistic style of work pays particular attention to details. They both first delineate contours then fill it with beautiful colors.
