【Video】The fragrant (fāngxiāng/芳香) Ping Lin Pouchung tea oil (chá yóu) The Pinglin Farmers Association tea oil factory (gōngchǎng/工廠) is pressing (zhà/榨) this year's Pouchung tea oil from processed (chǔlǐ guò… 更多 /處理過) tea seeds (chá zǐ/茶籽). Pressing 3,300 grams (kè/克) of tea seeds yields 600 grams of tea oil. The seeds are first roasted (烘烤/ hōngkǎo) at 110 degrees Celsius (Shèshì/攝氏) in an oven before pressing. The ground tea seeds are then turned into powder (fěn/粉), the natural anti-bacterial detergent (qīngjiéjì/清潔劑) that is environmentally friendly (huánbǎo/環保). Tea oil is great in cooking. Using it in stir-fried rice (chǎofàn/炒飯) or vermicelli(fěntiáo/粉條) would be appetizing. Tea oil is a specialty (zhāopáicài/招牌菜) dish of Pinglin. It is used in cooking boneless chicken with dried red dates and is perfect for stir-fried yam leaf. Deep fried Ayu with tea oil is another Pinglin signature dish. Mr. Feng would go to Pinglin to look for tea after returning from L.A. Link: http://www.huayuworld.org/learningchinese/video/image_taiwan_detail/193
