本幅選自〈明文徵明沈周唐寅仇英便面合裝冊〉，灑金摺扇上，畫石崖橫樹，老藤垂蔓，茅頂水榭，中有文士隔水觀流。水域以大片留白橫亙中段，使成縱向的一河兩岸構圖。粗筆水墨，惟人臉面處微染淡赭。使用禿筆，故毫芒不顯。線條筆觸均短促厚拙，如不經意，而沉穩渾茂之甚。詩題於兩岸之間留白，結字稍扁，款書筆端略帶抖顫。全畫用筆造意，與文氏八十六歲(1555)所作〈溪山高逸〉書畫卷相近，疑為同時作品。
