策展人的話：
此巨幅作品成於正德十四年(1519)，五十歲所作。畫中深林密蔭，懸壁環峙，瀑布自自岩縫中奔流而下，淙淙然，彷彿可聞流水聲。士人於聽泉，一人緩行而來，別無其它通徑，真有與世隔絕之概。就筆墨而言，用筆粗朗挺勁，樹法、苔點畫法近似沈周(1427~1509)，沉著酣暢，可見其師承脈絡。此圖與其八十歲所作〈古木寒泉〉的筆墨如皴法、點葉有相通之處，但不及其豪邁率意，布局則疏密有致。
