　　武英殿是專門製作朝廷敕修書籍的機構，堪稱當時的國家出版社。因此在古籍與密檔的展覽中，「武英聚珍」單元展出武英殿的古籍。清代時，「欽定」、「御製」等廷臣奉敕修撰書籍陸續問世，成為皇帝宣揚個人意志或延伸政治、文化力量的官方出版品。於是這些由武英殿刊刻印造的書籍，後人簡稱為「殿本」。
