明代（德化窯） Ming dynasty (1368-1644)

　　這件壺呈直筒圓形，平頂蓋，蓋紐作獅形，兩隻蟠螭上下追逐各貼於壺腹的兩邊，形成流嘴與把手，流嘴的蟠螭作回首張口狀，張開的螭口自然的成為壺嘴出水處，而把手的蟠螭則拱身立起，圓拱的身軀，適成圓弧，巧妙的成為壺把。
　　德化白瓷為明代最著名的南方民窯之一，其瓷器以牙白透光釉質取勝，向以塑瓷如觀音、羅漢等人物造像聞名。此壺造型古樸，陶工巧妙的設計，以一對追逐蟠螭作成壺嘴與壺把，在寧靜的釉色中，適時現出生機，實為德化窯白瓷中的珍品。
