策展人的話：
　　沈周是明代寫意花鳥畫風的開創者，他承繼南宋水墨蔬果花卉傳統，強調淋漓水墨，用筆瀟灑自在，且擅長觀物生趣，凡日常所見皆能隨筆賦形，物象生動新穎。
本冊為沈周六十八歲時所作，共有十六幅，作動植物寫生，用意甚精而筆墨不羈，款書筆意亦甚嶄截。這件第十五開「貓」的渾圓模樣，也流露出沈周對家中寵物的親暱情感。
