這幅「春山圖」以細筆描繪沿溪風光,甚得乾隆皇帝喜愛。本畫原來並未署名,根據畫上清高宗乾隆二十二年(1757)的題跋(如附圖右上角),乾隆皇帝「觀其風神筆力」,將作者定為趙伯駒(1120-1183)。由題跋的內容推敲,乾隆皇帝當時應對宮中繪畫收藏的品質相當自傲,利用同樣「有能力」為趙伯駒畫作訂名的舉動,將自己與元代柯九思(1290-1343)與明代董其昌(1555-1636)並列為史上一流的鑑賞家。

This painting is unsigned, but the fine brushwork for the… 更多 receding river scenery, continuous space, and rich details of the forms were very much appreciated by the Qianlong emperor. According to the inscription written in 1757, Qianlong “observed the divine manner and brush force,” ascribing this work to the Southern Song artist Zhao Boju. In fact, he was so confident when it came to the connoisseurship of paintings in his collection that he felt assured enough to attribute such unsigned works. Thus, Qianlong saw himself as a peer alongside such famous connoisseurs in history as Ke Jiusi (1290-1343) and Dong Qichang (1555-1636).
