銅胎畫琺瑯鼻煙壺集中在康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝，乾隆朝時西洋紋飾成為裝飾主題，正如這件【銅胎畫琺瑯西洋母子鼻煙壺】，除正面西洋母子圖外，側面開光粉紅色琺瑯畫西洋風景，顯示西洋風格裝飾的影響。
During the reigns of the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong Emperors, both copper- and glass-body painted enamelware snuff bottles were based on and fused with Western techniques and decorative patterns.
