每年6月5日「世界環境日」是聯合國大會為紀念1972年斯德哥爾摩人類環境會議的召開而設立的，今年適逢40周年，聯合國以「綠色經濟：你參與了嗎？」作為2012年世界環境日主題，以突顯綠色經濟是我們實現更光明的未來，及反思我們未來發展方式，希望地球公民都能積極參與。
