This painting is traditionally attributed to an unknown painter of the Yuan dynasty,… 更多 being mostly done in ink lines to depict a palace within a walled city by the mountains. Also quite decorative and varied, the contents are rich with figures in many different activities. For example, palace ladies appear in a small pavilion playing musical instruments and demonstrating martial skills, the rendering in a form of the "baimiao" ink line tradition of "ruled-line" painting from the Yuan dynasty.
