Gray pottery of the Han dynasty is mostly of clay and sand of delicate quality. Because these materials were easily accessible, gray pottery not only spread among the people but also commonly was used as a grave object buried with the deceased. This seated dog has a long neck, large ears, and relatively short body and tail.
