【隨著航商獲利成長，相關審查亦逐步增加，拜登政府於本月要求美國聯邦海事委員會(FMC)制定美國出口產業保護措施，眾議院運輸和基礎設施委員會亦開始起草航運法修正案，預計於8月進行投票，新法案將禁止航商取消所有出口訂單、要求航商聲明其操作合乎航運法、賦予FMC更大的監管權力並公布其調查中，航商的虛偽證詞；另外，FMC已成立專案審計計畫，就承運契約中收取貨櫃延滯費(demurrage)、留置費(detention)部分進行調查，該計畫將要求全球九大航商公開季報並個別進行約談，分析其中是否有不實或不公平計費(違反46 U.S. Code § 4110)可能，該計畫期望透過與航商協調並依其提供航運資料，達成最適調整，後續亦可能就定期航班計費與罰金等進行調查及限制，以保護處於劣勢的託運人，如其中查有不法行為，也將採取適當作為，最終可亦能導致FMC修改相關規範及指引。】詳細請參閱來源連結:
