This is one of the pair in the Museum’s… 更多 collection, which identical inscriptions in five lines and thirty nine characters long. The dowry vessels were cast by Ji Wu-xu from the Zeng State for her marriage with King of the Chu State.
The types were pressed against the molds and repeated before casting, so the strokes and shapes of the same characters are indentical across the pair, yet spaced differently.
