根據教育部重編國語詞典指出，「鉞」類似斧頭，只是較斧頭為大，而值得一提的是，「鉞」是征伐權力的最高象徵，能夠持有「鉞」的人，通常都是最重要的軍事首長或是族群的領袖，這樣的「鉞」常使用在儀式典禮之中，代表持有者的權利與威嚴。… 更多

文物賞析：
鉞是征伐權力的最高象徵，持有者往往是最重要的軍事首長或族群領袖。
The turquoise inlay indicates the owner’s high rank in the society. It was used as a ritual object in ceremonies instead of a weapon in the battle fields.
