A women''s workshop which integrates resources and creates employment right after the 921 Earthquake, Ciou Chen devoted himself into the reconstruction of his home town. He provided one of his houses to start a studio for local women who held clothing design skills and lived their hometown. These women then began to put effort in cloth dyeing, design and production of Hakka clothing. They have used only local vegetal dyeing materials and insisted in pursuing health, the nature and protection of the environment. The workshop had successfully created a new appearance of and the future of handmade Hakka clothing.
