每年，國際海事組織(International Maritime Organization;IMO)都由一個國家舉辦世界海事日(World Maritime Day)系列活動。2019年由哥倫比亞主辦，目標為促進海事組織成員國間海洋安全、海洋環境保護等議題和促進國際海運等工作，並從航運與港埠角度探討永續發展與海洋管理，後續即將在9月26日於英國IMO總部舉行慶祝活動。詳見：
