European film avant-gardes began to… 更多 established themselves in the mid-1920s with the inspiration from Cubism, Constructivism, Dadaism, Surrealism. Their attempts to develop a film-specific form of expression at the expense of a narrative, illusionist filmic constitution, still included written fade-ins. The European avant-grade filmmakers produced several films from 1924 to 1937; they are the first to treat writing as one equally valid filmic design element and diametrically opposed to its conventional function as an integral part of a narration. 雷恩‧萊 Len Lye
