策展人的話：
高劍父（1879-1951），名崙，字爵庭，號劍父。廣東番禺（今屬廣州）人。早年師從居廉，後赴日本進修美術，畢生致力於「折衷中外，融會古今」的「新國畫」創作與教育。嶺南畫派主要創始人，與高奇峰、陳樹人合稱「二高一陳」或「嶺南三傑」。
畫作中一士人坐於地上，幾片落葉飄散于空中，士人目光盯著落葉，臉上露出傷感之意；人物工筆繪出，衣服線條隨意，卻輪廓分明，用筆老到，栩栩如生。葉落悲秋，飽含文人意蘊。
