【宋銭選桃枝松鼠】展示期間制限あり 2018/11/15-12/25

　　銭選（1235頃–1307頃）、字は舜挙、浙江呉興（現在の浙江省呉興区）の人。詩文、書画ともに巧みで、「呉興八俊」の一人に数えられる。元代になってからは隠居して仕官もせず、絵画で生計を立てた。絵画だけでなく人柄のよさも讃えられた。
　　銭選は手折った花木を好んで描いた。この着色画には、桃の枝に留まるリスが、みずみずしい桃の実をじっと見つめる様子が描かれている。全体に簡約な構図、清麗な趣ある着色、線は細いが力強い。リスの毛の柔らかな質感が細かな線で表現されており、濃墨で足の爪と眼が描かれ、リスの表情や動きを見事に捉えている。子孫繁栄を意味するリスと長寿を祝う桃の組み合わせから、言葉で表さずとも吉祥の含意が一目でわかる。
