運用數位科技推動華語教學是近十餘年來華語文教育最重要的發展方向之一，有鑑於此，僑務委員會自1999年首度結合學術機構及相關產業舉辦「第一屆全球華文網路教育研討會」（International Conference on Internet Chinese… 更多 Education，簡稱ICICE），之後每兩年舉行乙次，迄今已辦理八屆，每屆均吸引數百位來自全球各地的華語文教育專家、學者、各級學校數位教學實務工作者、華語文數位學習科技產業人士等共同參與。
本屆研討會則以「華語文教學與科技結合之方向與省思」為主題，期藉由華語文數位教學理論的發表、實務教學應用的分享，匯聚出更具開創性的華語文數位教學新視野，為日後華語文推廣發揮正面積極效益，歡迎大家共襄盛舉。
