苗栗苑裡是閩客融合的鄉鎮，一群志同道合的朋友，為了保存擁有145… 更多 年歷史的鄭家客家古厝，帶頭做起保存客家文化古蹟及人文歷史的工作，並於古厝內成立東里家風。苑裡鎮是藺草的故鄉，從前家家戶戶的婦女都依靠編織藺草貼補家用，但隨著時代的變遷讓老技藝逐漸失傳。為此東里家風整合在地師傅，將技藝傳承給年輕一代，所以每頂草帽皆是80 歲以上的客庄阿婆，以一根根三角藺草編織而成，讓藺草工藝結合傳統創新設計能永續發展。
